This morning Julie Peterson and I met at the Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park to bring this new incarntion of ChicagoCoop.net into existance.  Julie had a huge salad and I had an excellent omlette.  Anyway, enough about us, what about this site?  We have some plans for next steps and would love for you to be a part of them.  Here’s what we’re thinking:

  • We need to invite organizers of Chicago co-ops to contribute (setting up logins for each one).
  • We need to craft an email with basic instructions for interested folks.
  • We need to have a face to face event where we can walk people through what we’ve done so far and get them started as contributors (administrators, actually).
  • We need an image to replace that green monster up there.
  • We need to either set up a new email list or resurrect the previous Chicago co-op email list.  Until we have the formal list, we’ll just send an email to the people we know are interested and everyone to reply-all so we’ll have an informal list for the time being.
  • After all that, we’ll need to promote the site.
